Northern Writers' Group

Membership is open to all adult Manx residents (from anywhere on the island) and visitors are welcome, too. You don't have to sign up to a certain number of sessions, just come when you can.

We plan to meet on the second Thursday of each month and the forth Tuesday. You can come to all the sessions or just the Tuesday or Thursday ones, if you've something else on. Meetings start around 6.30pm and last about 2 hours. There's no charge for the 'writing' aspect, but donations of around £3.50 per session are suggested, to go towards the centre's costs.

We may also have an occasional weekend session and/or retreat, if there is sufficient demand.

ALL are welcome, poets, novelists, short-story and non-fiction writers. Even if you've never written anything before, but fancy having a go, you'll be made very welcome in this relaxed, fun filled group.

Based in Jurby & Northern Initiatives Community Centre (next door to the Jurby GP surgery).
