Young designers, artists and graphic designers of the island can now enter the Creative Designer of the Year 2016 Competition.
The competition's organisers recently released the new briefs put forward to them by the sponsoring organisations. This year's sponsors include Shoprite, Miquando and Taylorian Productions, each with their own specific design briefs.
The competition is aimed at young people aged 4 to 16 years old and offers the chance for students to win up to £450 for their school. Entrants are asked to present their designs landscape on a plain piece of A4 paper with their full name, school, year group and teacher's name on the reverse side.
This competition has a varied spectrum of briefs and always attracts a lot of attention with last year's competition seeing a total of 1,630 students entering a design. All designs that adhere to the competition rules will be judged and then split into two groups; primary school students and secondary school students. The winners of each group will be crowned Junior Creative Designer of the Year and Senior Creative Designer of the Year respectively.
Entries are to be submitted to Isle of Man Newspapers no later than 14th June 2016. To find out more about the competition and its rules click here. The brief provided by each sponsor can be found in the links below.
