Manx Magician publishes book about magic performances in 19th Century Mann

Manx Magician Mike Clague tells the enthralling story of magicians who performed on the Isle of Man during the 19th Century in his fantastic 200 page illustrated book, 'The Magic Isle'.

Clague's chronicle tells the tales of Victorian magic, as reported through local newspaper and other sources, from the card-sharpers and court cases to anti-combustible lady.

The paperback edition of the book, available at £15, can be bought on the island from Lexicon Bookshop in Douglas, Bridge Bookshop in Port Erin, Kirk Michael Post Office, Celtic Gold in Peel, Presence of Mann at Laxey Woolen Mills, Tynwald Mills and St Paul's Bookshop in Ramsey.
