Young performers on the Isle of Man are being reminded that there is still time to enter the Young Singer of Mann 2016 competition.

The competition is open to all singers, both male and female, aged 8 to 15 years old on or before 15th May 2016. The competition, which began in 1992, will be held in the Isle of Man Bank Auditorium at the Erin Arts Centre with the first stage taking place on Sunday 15th June 2016 from 2pm.

Following the first stage, eight competitors will be chosen to perform in the competition final being held on the Sunday 19th June 2016 as part of the 42nd Annual Mananan International Festival of Music and the Arts.

The winner of the competition will be given a cash prize of £150 and will be presented with a glass trophy (held for two years) by the Isle of Man Bank along with a glass goblet presented by the Isle of Man Arts Council and the title of Young Singer of Mann 2016.

The closing date for entries for the competition is Friday 6th May.
