The Great Manx Shindig is back...

The Great Manx Shindig is back...

The Shindig is now in its second year and has been requested by bands and festival goers for it to happen again after it’s huge success in 2018 – even in a cloud...

The Shindig is an idea by husband and wife team Stuart and Annabel Gentry who are well known by many through their business Flo The Coffee Van. Flo is a Citroen HY Van which they take to many of the islands public events promoting Manx produce and fellow small artisans as well as offering a small festival stage when the need arises.

They both saw a gap in the islands public events and festival circuit for a festival or event celebrating and rewarding the islands musicians and artist with the performers obtaining a fee for their performance or workshop. As part of the many festivals on the island being expected to work for free and provide stage and bands services for free they thought it was about time they gave back to the islands art & music scene the time, effort and a wage the islands bands deserve.

Annabel and Stuart are doing this event, again, for a non profit making event hosted and organised by themselves. Instead they are doing it mainly for their passion for festivals and the Manx musicians and artists who have become friends over the years.
