We recently caught up with Annabel Gentry - who is one half of the awesome power-couple duo who run The Great Manx Shindig - to get a feel for how they thought the weekend went...

The Shindig went swimmingly by in a beautiful sunshine hazy solstice extravaganza.

Loose Crew kicked us off on the band line up with Lava really bringing the festival crowds in dancing for their set.

Workshops were full to bursting over both days with Raw energy balls by Flo & wearable art from Alice Fayle designs. While our guest Will Baldry from Yorkshire nipped in & out of the crowds making their mind go weeee while he read their words they had written down on a piece of paper.

It was the right thing to do this year turning the clouds into swirling suns & the sky on summer solstice night was magnificent full of swirling colours over the festival site.

Highlights from the weekend were watching so many young families have so much fun in the sun - dancing, making, stretching, sunbathing and relaxing in one big field while listening to some fabulous Manx musicians.

The Yorkshire based band headlined Saturday night & whipped a fiddle frenzy on the stage was a sight to see.

Next year there will be a Shindig for sure but it will be coming back with a tumbling twist to it - watch this space for 2020 dates & ticket release.
