Be inspired by the beauty and imagination of the wonderful Wallabies Gone Wild sculptures and our real life wallabies in their Manx habitat.

26th September is a very special day as Hospice IOM are holding their Wallabies Gone Wild (Wild in Art) auction. With this in mind, Debra Tracey of Isle be Creative is putting together a fantastic collection of poetry inspired by wallabies!

Submissions are invited from all poets of all ages and stages of their wordsmith journey.

So, if you are a poet or would like to become one, get yourself over to our poetry page and submit your wonderful words.

Your school will win a Creative Writing & Illustration workshop for you and your classmates with Debra Tracey

The rules:

  • Poetry inspired by wallabies or Hospice IOM
  • Open to poems up to 20 lines
  • £5 entry fee PER poem
  • No restrictions on number of paid entries
  • Must be new and previously unpublished work
  • Publication will be online and available to purchase as a download from the end of September
  • Two age groups: under 16s and over 16s
  • The publication will available to all, so make it family friendly, please – no swearing
  • Only online submissions accepted
  • We reserve the right to publish or not publish an entry
