Arts Development Officer

Martyn studied graphic design and fine art at the Isle of Man College before embarking on a 16 year career in branding and communications.

As well as being an exhibited artist on the island, Martyn has a rich history in the island's music scene; having headlined festivals, toured the UK and released multiple recordings to industry acclaim. Martyn currently works with two original bands on the island and one function band. He holds grade 7 in performance from Trinity College, London and is studying grade 8.

As the Arts Development Officer, Martyn provides arts development advice and guidance. He supports the Arts Development Manager, Jane Corkill, in developing, delivering and project managing a strategic programme of arts initiatives, events and activities. Martyn manages the Arts Council's Contemporary Art Loan Collection and works directly with schools, the youth service and healthcare settings to deliver and promote arts activities.
