Rosie J. Wood

Rosie’s work is inspired by the natural world along with the rich cultural heritage of her island home. Although her art takes many forms, whatever medium she uses, she draws us in to look closer at the world and take pleasure in the small details that we often overlook. 

Her ‘Stones of Mann’ series has evolved out of her life long obsession with stone. From individual rocks and pebbles worn by the weather and tide to the many archaeological sites found around the Island.

Rosie gained her BA(Hons) in Fine Art through University College IOM as a mature student in 2016. She was born and continues to live on the Island where she currently has a printmaking studio based at Grenaby Studios, Ballabeg.
