Sketches from my Bedroom

Hello! My name's Ellie - and I also go by 'Sketches from my Bedroom'! I'm a young artist on the Isle of Man, and I love to paint anything and everything! I mainly specialise in illustrating buildings, and I do a lot of house portraits. The mediums I use primarily are watercolour paints and alcohol inks.

I think of my art as 'telling people's stories'. I started off drawing the places that meant the most to me, in order to keep my most special memories alive. I always dreamed of one day having a home full of artwork - moments in time captured in my favourite places. Over the years I've built up a collection of the locations closest to my heart - and now I feel so humbled that my art is able to contribute to the collections of others, too.

I sell bespoke artwork, prints of my pieces, illustrated maps and also cards/postcards! I'm always on the lookout for new opportunities to expand my work and challenge my skills - even ones completely out of my comfort zone! I hope to take every opportunity this community on the IOM can offer; my biggest dream is to one day create a mural!
